More Chinese Cresteds

Fred and his friend
Grace, Fred, and Gunner

The other day we went and visited one of Jeff's customers that also has a chinese crested dog! I have never seen another chinese crested in person, so it was fun. The dog we saw is a very old dog and he used to be a champion dog in dog shows! This dog was also a hairless like Fred, but it had a lot more hair than Fred. The owner told us more chinese cresteds are getting bred to have more hair so the hair on the top of their head is longer. He said Fred was what they call a 'primitive' chinese crested. He also used to have a powderpuff that won a lot of dog shows. Here are some pictures of the dogs together.

Take a Walk

Let's Take a Walk...Down Memory Lane!!!

Memory Lane...Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. (It can be either with Jeff or Jennie or Both). It doesn't matter if you knew me/us a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, repost these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.
This is fun, I hope everyone will participate. Start Thinking!
Also, when you leave a comment...you are tagging yourself...so re-post on your own blog so I know who's to go and comment on!

Fourth of July

the plan for this fourth of July was to head into downtown St. Louis and watch the fireworks from under the arch at a friend's apartment building's roof. We drove downtown and we were 5 blocks away from our friend's apartment building when cars just started pulling over onto the shoulder of the Highway. Then, the cars started just parking everywhere. Even right in the middle of the road! Jeff and I could not get passed them so we just sat in our car on the highway and watched the fireworks. They were beautiful by the way. Then we thought we would still go and visit our friends, so we s-l-o-w-l-y exit the freeway and onto the streets. As we were exiting Fred BARFED! And I was holding him. YUCK! luckily most of it landed on the blanket that we were snuggled in. Then, it seemed like we were waiting in traffic FOREVER! The cardinals game just got out so there was game traffic and fireworks traffic. Jeff and I tried to make the best of it by playing 20 questions and an eventful game of TRUTH or DARE. When we still haven't moved an inch in about 20 minutes, we get out of our car and figure out the police are blocking the road in front of us. One of the other ladies that was stuck in traffic with us redirected all the cars to go through a parking lot and onto the highway back home. So we headed home. Happy fourth of July.....we spent about 3 and 1/2 hours in our car!

Zoo

Dad with the chimp.
Monkeys cuddling.
More monkeys cuddling.
Even MORE monkeys cuddling.
The butterfly house.
The penguin.
A depressed chimp.
The "wild ass"
The 3 day old giraffe.
My mom kissing a butterfly!
Another fun thing we did when my parents were visiting was go to the zoo. We saw lots of cool animals. We saw a sign for a "naked chimp" (hairless chimp) and I really wanted to find it, but we did not. We did see a chimp scratch his booty and smell his hand afterwards. Funny! We also saw a 3 day old giraffe. So cute! We went to a sea lion show. We saw penguins and puffins. We went in a butterfly house. We saw a somali wild ass. The zoo was lots of fun!

Botanical Gardens

When my parents came to visit we went to the Missouri Botanical Gardens. It was really pretty. They had themed gardens there. They had the tropical gardens, the children's garden, rose garden, and a lot of others. It was huge so we could not see everything. There was an artist whose work was being featured at the gardens. She made huge statues out of glass, rocks, and shells. My favorite pieces were called the "Nanas" which were huge statues of women in different poses. We had a lot of fun. Thanks Mom and Dad.

I'm Here!

I'm here! School got out for the Summer! Yipee! "No more pencils, No more books, no more student's dirty looks." I will miss my little class and school, but I am so excited to be here with Jeff. One month is way too long to be apart. I like it here , but I feel sticky. (humidity) The doggies like it here too. They try to attack the little kids at the park though. Our car came today and Jeff is excited not to be trapped without a car anymore. Jeff is out selling everyday and I work in the office every other day. I got to lay by the pool and I have been to the fitness room a couple of times. So far so good. Although I have not gotten used to all the bugs yet. I make Jeff kill a daily quota of 3 spiders every night when he gets home. I am excited to spend the Summer in a new place. Go Cardinals!

HOT

About a month ago I made the mistake of playing basketball barefoot with Jeff. He says I fouled him, but he stomped on my toe with his big basketball shoes. My toe started bleeding and It was bruised for a long time. Yesterday my toenail fell off! all of it! No cute summer pedicure toes I guess. sad. I saved the toenail because....I don't know, it's weird. thanks alot Jeff!

living at my parent's house

Jeff is in St. Louis and I have to wait untill school is out before I go join him with the doggies. so I am living with my parents in Taylorsville. I am probably driving my parents crazy. It will be a long month for them.

Graduation

Jeff finally graduated! The ceremony was great. One of Jeff's friends spoke and Jeff was in one of the pictures in the slideshow. Afterwards, we took pictures on campus, went to the BYU bookstore and we all met at TGIFriday's for dinner. It was really fun. I was really proud of him. It is a great accomplishment. Go Jeff! Now on to selling in St. Louis!

My goal

This summer I am going to get back to my high school weight. I am the young person to the right in the orange board shorts. For reference to my current weight check out the pictures at Thanksgiving Point posted under "Spring Time."
I did get cold a lot easier back then, but I could hide a lot easier. Hide and Seek with Mariko has been impossible since I can't fit behind the couch anymore.
So to get back to the glory days of getting piggy back rides and being on the top of the pyramid instead of the base. I must lose 50 lbs. Easy stuff. Thanks for the support.
